Amazon.com Product Description
The simply designed Casio G-Shock Classic digital watch for men offers shock resistance that's great for your most vigorous sporting activities. The durable rectangular black watch case measures 45mm wide (1.77 inches), and it's matched to a comfortable black resin sports strap. The face has two windows that show time (bottom) and date (top) as well as a circular display for the stopwatch function, which can measure events down to 1/100 of a second for the first 60 minutes (and down to 1 second from 60 minutes to 24 hours). It also offers elapsed and split time modes, and 1st-2nd place times, and it includes a countdown timer with a 24-hour range. Other timekeeping features include a multi-function alarm, hourly time signal (which can be turned off), and 12/24-hour formats. This timepiece also features an Auto Calendar (pre-programmed until the year 2039), ±15-second accuracy per month, Afterglow backlighting, and water resistance to 200 meters (660 feet)--which will stand up to the rigors of recreational scuba diving.

5 out of 5 stars GREAT GIFT   December 3, 2007

I purchased this Casio G-Shock for my husband's birthday and he loved it. It is such a good quality for a great price. He especially liked the lighted face for viewing in the dark. I would recommend this to anyone that wants a sturdy watch at a great price.

5 out of 5 stars Good, nice looking watch so far.   February 18, 2008

I was more than a little concerned with all the negative reviews, but decided to go ahead and take a chance. Amazon customer service is pretty good, the watch has a 1 year warranty, and by paying with American Express, Amex adds another year to the warranty. So I figure I'm covered if any issues from the negative reviews happen upon me.

I'm not a big guy and was concerned that the watch might look like a hockey puck on my wrist. My wrist measures about 7" in circumference. I was pleasantly surprised at how good the watch looks on my wrist. So pleased that I ordered a second watch for my son.

07/08/09 - Still going strong after almost 1-1/2 year.

5 out of 5 stars Very Durable   December 2, 2007

I just had to buy this for my husband to replace the one he got four years ago when he first joined the Army. The first one survived a tour and a half in Iraq, not to mention everyday abuse. He loves it and made sure that I got the exact same one again.

5 out of 5 stars Tough watch for a not so tough price   May 9, 2007

I bought this watch for work because I needed something rugged that will take alot of abuse. In my profession I'm constantly fighting and wrestling with people and I needed a watch that wouldn't just break off. I have had this watch for nearly two months and I'm extremely pleased with it's durability and comfort. It has every possible function you would need for everyday life, ie. stopwatch, alarm, countdown timer. My favorite option is the dual time/date display on the main watch screen because I always need to quickly access date/time. If your looking for a tough watch at a decent price you can't go wrong with this one.

5 out of 5 stars Was issued this watch before leaving for Iraq...   January 31, 2010

Everybody in the battalion was issued this watch before we shipped out for Iraq back in 2005, five years ago today actually, and the battery finally just died last night, WOW!...This thing lasted through an entire tour in Iraq, it made it through all the blood, sweat and tears and it just kept going. GREAT WATCH!
