Not sure why they are called 'remnants', these are 15' hoses with fittings on each end. I received two different types of hose material, apparently these are the ends of long rolls the factory cannot use in longer lengths.
These hoses are actually fairly inexpensive. The hose material is mid-range quality, and the hose fittings (one male, one female) are decent but not higher quality.
I bought several and am using them for areas that already have a long hose but with plants near the faucet, so the long hose can stay on the outer parts and this shorter hose can water the nearby plants. However, 15' doesn't go very far, so practical use is limited.
I am using two to extend existing 100' hoses that are just a few feet short. Beats adding another 25' hose to the 100'er.
All in all, useful at a bargain price. I have more on order.
UPDATE Aug 27, 2009 -
I have purchased a dozen or so of these and have been using them all summer during 100+F degree hot sun. I haven't had a single problem with any of them. The one hose that did develop a mesquite thorn leak was a high quality rubber hose. Sometimes cheaper semi-hard vinyl like these win in the end.
Still 5 star happy !

I purchased three of these via Amazon (free delivery) for $8 each and back for more. Great value! I use them in combination with a 4 way connector set and adjustable sprinklers to water each of my raised garden beds with just one quick turn of the hose. Not only are they a much better quality than the sets supposedly created to do the same thing but the price is competitive too. Just the right size to daisy chain sprinklers and reduces the time required to tend the garden...perfect for raised garden beds where regular sprinkler system might be over-kill.
UPDATE - I noticed many people complaining over quality...for the record I received the Black hose remnants as pictured. From the sound of it, there are various colors and quality issues. The black ones are very good quality with brass fittings.

We couldnot find any hose shorter than 25ft locally so we ordered these on line. We ordered two to start with and ordered two more after we got the first ones. They are high quality. Ours were 2 green and 2 black. We are planning to order a couple more. I would highly recommedn them

Good price and okay quality. Remant worked well for my need - reel leaders. Save my other, longer pieces for appropriate uses.

I was looking for a short hose to use with my pressure washer. I stopped at Lowes and the only thing they had in the 15' length was some cheap looking "utility" hose of very poor quality. I think they wanted $6 or $7 for, but I can not imagine it lasting very long.
I ordered this hose from Amazon and just got it today. I was impressed with it - the hose itself feels sturdy, (as in not easy to collapse), and the ends look to be of decent quality. It's actually a silver-gray color with a yellow stripe, but it looks nice. Overall, I am pleased with the purchase and would buy it again if I needed another one.
